Answers to the most common questions about VeroNavi — what it is, where the data comes from, and how the service keeps tax data safe.
VeroNavi brings your client companies' tax data from the Finnish Tax Administration's interface into a single view. Your firm sees clients' VAT status, prepayment taxes, employer obligations, and due dates without logging in to each client's MyTax separately.
No. VeroNavi is a read-only service: it only reads data and cannot send anything to the Tax Administration. It files no reports, makes no payments, and changes nothing — the actual transactions still happen in MyTax.
Tax data is retrieved from the Finnish Tax Administration's interface (Vero API), which is the only source of tax data. The interface also checks the Suomi.fi mandates that determine which clients' data your firm may see.
No. The client does not need to grant a separate mandate to VeroNavi — it is enough that the client has granted the accounting firm a Suomi.fi mandate for handling tax matters. The firm must therefore hold a valid mandate for the client's tax affairs, and VeroNavi uses that same mandate.
All of VeroNavi's servers are located in Finland. Data traffic is encrypted, every view of data is recorded in an audit log, and the connection to the Tax Administration is secured with certificates.
No. VeroNavi does not collect or store personal identity codes. Client companies are identified by their Business ID.
VeroNavi is designed for accounting firms and bookkeepers to make managing their client base easier. The more clients you have, the more time a centralised view saves.
VeroNavi works in Finnish, English, and Swedish.
